About Our Lives Together

We literally bumped into each other 18 years ago during Freshman Orientation Week on our college campuses and have been together ever since. We have now been married for almost 11 wonderful years.

Though we began on different career paths, we have always shared a passion for educating children that has led us both to work as educators today. We are also founders of a non-profit organization that provides educational services to parents and students that help bridge the gap between our communities and our schools.

About Tremain (Tee)

The moment that I met Tee I felt an undeniable connection. It was an instant friendship that can only be described as meeting the other half of me. Our relationship grew from friendship to love almost as naturally as breathing. I knew within weeks that I’d met my best friend and the love of my life.

I am often amazed at how he seems to excel at everything he does. From teaching math to painting our house to starting a non-profit organization, Tee’s intelligence and hard work show me that failure is not an option for him or our family.

Each time I watch him interact with our nieces and godchildren, I am convinced that he will be an excellent father. Tee is encouraging, fun, loving, and disciplined. His very nature is that of a father.

On a typical weekend, Tee can be found exploring the newest technological gadgets, taking care of odds and ends around the house, or doing nothing at all.

About Kara

Kara is one of the most giving and considerate people I know and I am truly blessed to have her as my wife and best friend. She consistently puts the needs of others ahead of herself. Her smile brightens every room she enters.

Kara serves as a teacher, mentor, and mother figure to so many around her. Friends often refer to Kara as the “counselor” because of her natural ability to give good advice and make wise decisions. She has a passion for helping others be successful and overcome their obstacles.

Her love for others and unselfish nature will make Kara an excellent mother.

On a typical weekend, Kara is shopping with friends, creating a culinary masterpiece, or just sitting on the couch with me sharing our favorite television shows.

Our Faith and Family

Our faith in God is at the center of everything that we do. We have learned to rely on our faith through our many good times as well our challenges. We are very committed to serving God in ministry in our church and the surrounding community.

We are blessed to have close relationships with our parents, siblings and nieces. Our parents are retired and very excited about spending even more time with our growing family. We also have a close knit community of friends, godchildren and church members in Texas who we love dearly.

Our Home

We live in a three bedroom home in Southeast Texas. There is an elementary school and two playgrounds within walking distance of our home. Our community is culturally diverse and extremely family friendly. Our home is frequently the center of entertainment for our friends with game nights, dinners and random visits.

Our Promise to You

We promise to raise your child in a God-centered home where he/she will be encouraged and taught how to pursue his/her dreams. We promise that your child will be exposed to different cultures and beliefs so that they have a well rounded understanding of the world around them. We promise that your child will be taught to make education a priority and that your child will be surrounded by family and friends that will love, encourage, and support them their entire life. We promise to provide your child with loving memories and to be open and honest about how you helped expand our family through adoption.
