We are Cole and Shelby and we are thrilled to be adding to our family through adoption! We’ve had a passion for adoption before we were even married and are excited to begin our journey now. We promise to raise your sweet baby in a Christian home with a stay at home mom. They will always know that they are loved by us, by YOU, by a great big family and by an even greater God. We’re thankful that you’re taking the time to learn about us and we’re ready to open our hearts and home to your child.
About Us
We have been married for 9 years but started dating 15 years ago! We spend our days with our two boys, Coleman and Sawyer. You’ll often find us outside- exploring at the creek, playing at the park or making foil boats to float down the rain stream. Spending time at the lake is one of our favorite things! Sitting on the porch enjoying our coffee at the cabin, then walking down the trail to pile in the boat and enjoy a ride around the lake, float time or even a ski run! Our boys have been enjoying boat rides since they were tiny babies and we dream about the day we get to include your baby on a boat ride too!
About Shelby
Shelby is an amazing wife and mother. She is loving, caring and has a gift for helping those in need. It is incredible to watch her with our children as she teaches them to be kind, respectful, strong and humble; values that she lives out every day.
Shelby has a passion for celebrating others- whether through party planning, baking, decorating or a surprise gift. She loves to make others feel special. Celebrating your child is something she will do so well! You can often find Shelby exercising and explaining to our children that she wants to be “strong and healthy” so she can keep up with them as well as our future child.
About Cole
Cole is such a pure-hearted man. He treats everyone with respect, dignity, and compassion. He loves the opportunity to make a good “dad joke.” He is active, has a passion for learning and strives to be an example of a good Christian man to our boys.
Cole enjoys woodworking, DIY house projects and being with friends. You can often find him out in the yard, planting gardens and building forts with the boys. It is a joy to watch him create memories with the kids. He is excited to add another little gardener to our family and learn what projects he or she will enjoy!
About our boys Coleman and Sawyer
Coleman is 4-years-old and inquisitive- always a question on his lips! He can be shy yet, once comfortable, he loves to cuddle and has the most infectious laugh! Sawyer is 2-years-old and always moving! When he commits to something (whether jumping, hugging or playing hide-and-go-seek) he is ALL IN! Coleman often makes plans for your baby! When we are at the grocery, he reminds me that the baby will need milk and anytime the boys see a baby the exclaim ‘Oh! Look at that SWEET BABY!’ It is precious to see their excitement in becoming big brothers together.
Our Family
Our extended family is close-knit, welcoming and full of nieces, nephews, friends and even foreign exchange students! We are so excited to discover which cousins will be the closest to your baby in age. We often travel to Ohio where all the grandparents live just minutes apart. Whether we spend a snowy Christmas in Ohio or a week playing in the summer, we truly enjoy being together. Our families like to travel, which gives us the opportunity to vacation at both the lake and the beach while building memories together.
Our Home in Tennessee and Traditions
Living in Tennessee is wonderful! Anyone who visits our home will find it tidy, yet “lived in,” and would be welcomed with a homemade meal at our big kitchen table or a baked treat to enjoy while hanging out with the kids in the playroom or on the back patio. We love to host friends and family, filling our home with those we love, good food and lots of laughter! We have a special nursery already set up and prepared for your child! We look forward to piling up together on the couch, sharing our favorite books with your baby and discovering which books might captivate his or her imagination. The boys look forward to sharing their wooden clubhouse with their newest sibling too!
Our Promise
We promise that your baby can expect safety and love as a way of life. We promise they will learn that Jesus loves them, we love them, YOU love them and we’re proud of them. They will be respected and learn to respect others. They can expect loud and happy Christmases, quiet afternoon naps and family suppers together. We will encourage questions and will be there for them when they’ve made a mistake and need help understanding the next steps. We promise to love them unconditionally, with our whole hearts, for our whole lives.

| Our Faith | Our relationship and marriage are founded on God's love, grace, and truth. We are thankful to be part of a Christian church that is active in the community and has such a passion for sharing the love of Christ. We teach the preschooler's Sunday school class every other school year, enjoy weekly bible studies with friends and are also a part of a small group that meets on Sunday evenings. Being at church is like being at a 2nd home- our family is so comfortable there. | |
