A Letter from Kyle & Rose
It’s so nice to meet you!
What’s up from Kauai! Yup, you read that right. We live on the beautiful garden island of Hawaii. We have a zest for life and exploring God’s creation and are stoked to share that with our new kiddo. We are so excited to be able to walk this journey with you. We have so much love to give, laughs to share and adventures to go on.
Becoming first time parents is not something we take lightly, and adoption was always our first choice in expanding our family. We’re proud of the fact that welcoming your child isn’t a second-choice option, but a much-anticipated answer to prayer and the perfect way to start our family.
Nine and a half years ago we met at church at a young adults’ ministry meeting where we were both volunteering. Within 10 short months we were married and running all over Oahu (Hawaii) loving life.
We love to joke around, be silly and spend time with friends and family. We enjoy traveling, hiking, grabbing coffee with friends, playing games, and being out on the beach or in the water as much as we can!
Rose may be the most positive person I know; she is compassionate, intelligent, and easy going. She always sees the good in people and the bright side of a situation even when I don’t. Motherhood will suit her well and I’m looking forward to seeing her pass down her love of reading, passion for being creative, and finding the joy in every day.
Rose gets along great with kids because at 5 ft tall, she’s typically just about the same size as them. Rose loves spending time relaxing outside reading or swimming in the ocean. As a former zookeeper, she can’t wait to take our own child to the zoo. Right now, she works at our church and volunteers on the worship team; she spends the rest of her time as a wedding planner helping couples make their wedding days memorable.
Kyle is a never-ending ball of energy. He can start his workday with the Coast Guard driving boats, and finishes the day surfing. To say that Ky is an island/water enthusiast goes without saying. Kyle truly loves God’s creation and it’s evident when you see him share that with others around him.
My favorite thing about Kyle is his unique ability to make people laugh–from a grumpy grocery clerk at the end of a long shift or me when I’m having a long day. He is going to make an unbelievable father and I’m so excited to see him discover this new phase of life. Kyle can’t wait to get in the ocean with our little one, hiking around the island and showing off all Kauai has to offer.
Even though neither of our families live close by, we stay in contact frequently. One of the perks of living in paradise is that we get lots of visitors!
Kyle’s family is in Missouri and we go back to visit usually once a year. Visits are filled with lots of cousins, family meals, and running around the farm playing with puppies.
Rose’s family is in Washington and Virginia. She is very close with her brother and visits are filled with silly childhood movies and TONS of inside jokes. Everyone is excited to welcome a new little kiddo into the family and asks about him/her often.
Each day we tend to pinch ourselves that this is where we call home. Our cozy place is in a great location: close to parks, the beach, our church where there are always lots of fun activities, and amazing restaurants with yummy food.
We love playing games, spending time reading, watching a good movie and listening to the roosters constantly crowing up a storm.
We promise to love your child: with honesty, no judgement, and arms always open for hugs. Our faith is the center of who we are and we live by the idea that if we truly love others well and trust in the Lord, He will be there for us always, being the best example of a parent we could ever hope for.

|More About Our Family
Kyle chose to enter the military right after high school. Even being busy with advancing, he got his Associate's Degree. He's constantly studying for his next qualification and tutoring his fellow co-workers when they need it. Even his recreational time satisfies his thirst for knowledge--reading about nautical adventures and learning new hobbies.
Rose has been a nerdy student for as long as she can remember. She has her Bachelor's Degree and reads more books than you might believe. You'll be hard pressed to find her without a book if she's not at home. You never know when there'll be a dull moment.
With education being a priority, we want you to know that your child's education is already paid for. The Coast Guard's GI Bill has money set aside for tuition, so if that ends up being our child's desire for higher education, they are good to go!
Kyle was raised in the church and cannot remember a time when he didn't know Jesus. The relationship he has with his Creator has made him a quiet leader in all facets of his life. While not speaking in front of crowds (because there is nothing worse to Kyle), his calm, confident demeanor in knowing exactly who God made him to be draws people to him.
Rose was introduced to Jesus by her mom at a young age but didn't really know Him personally until the summer after 8th grade where she followed a crush to church camp. The crush came and went but her relationship with Jesus has been steadfast through high school, college and into adult life. She loves volunteering on worship team and pitching in at church with whatever needs done.
Rose attends a morning women’s bible study weekly, and both Rose and Kyle love their weekly church small group.
Throughout our marriage we have made it a priority to travel. Going to new places and interacting with those in other cultures helps us to grow in ways we never thought possible. We road-tripped for 7 months in our van covering 28 states and many national parks. We've backpacked around Europe, sailed through the inside passage of Alaska, visited 5 Canadian provinces and most recently spent 3 wonderful weeks in the United Kingdom.
There's no better education than living life in the world and seeing it first-hand. We plan to take our kiddo on all of our adventures, from hiking to sailing and everything in between. Both sets of our parents raised us to be grateful for all the little things in life each day, and exploring the gorgeous world God gave us is no exception.
|A little note...
As much as we adventure and love to be on the go, we wanted to add that yes, we are human and love our time resting. We love enjoying our home and are so looking forward to cuddles with our little one and soaking up that time together.
