A Letter from Jamie & Patty
We are honored to be considered as adoptive parents for your child. We are a multicultural family from Michigan with a deep desire to add to our family through the gift of adoption. We value faith, family, culture, quality education, a strong work ethic, healthy living and, of course, having lots of fun. Together, we are raising 2 beautiful daughters and ready to grow our family. We have so much love to share with your child and are thrilled to be growing our family through adoption. We will welcome your child into our family and an open relationship with you, if you are comfortable.
We first met each other in the halls of our middle school. Because of that early start to our relationship and friendship, we’ve watched each other grow up into successful working adults, loving spouses, and parents of two beautiful girls. Through the highs of various graduations and promotions and through the lows of a long journey through infertility and loss, we have been through it all together.
As a biracial family, we are passionate about embracing one another’s background and culture and incorporating those traditions into our home. We enjoy dance parties in our living room, spending time with friends and family, watching TV and movies, playing games, and taking our kids on various adventures – from theme parks and museums to dance class or to cheer on our favorite sports teams.
Jamie is a charismatic, outgoing leader and so much fun to be around. He is sensitive, goofy and passionate. He is a high school math teacher and his students adore him. He loves being outdoors in the yard, gardening, playing with the kids and is always down to BBQ. He is a great sport when it comes to the children, giving them a piggyback ride, being silly together or bedtime stories. Jamie has a great sense of humor and very invested in our family. He is a great model and will be your child’s tutor, protector, and doting father if we are blessed to welcome a new child in our home.
Patty loves to be active, plan activities and fun adventures for our family. She enjoys exploring new parks, working out, Zumba and baking. There is no greater joy for me than watching her love and nurture our kids. She is an amazing wife and mother, and I’m excited to watch her share her gifts as the mother to your child. She is the most dedicated person you will ever meet and always gives everything her all. It’s that drive that I most admire about her, and I’m not alone, as I see others around her gravitate to her for the same advice, guidance, and support I’ve been lucky enough to live with as her husband. She can put a smile on anyone’s face. Patty is very excited to welcome a new child into our home and will give him or her unconditional love.
We were blessed to build our home from the ground up in 2013. What was once a large empty acre of land with weeds is now a beautiful two-story home. Our house is child-friendly and includes a large open plan on the first floor with 4 bedrooms. There is a toy room in the finished basement!
We have installed a beautiful play set in the back yard that will provide many memories for your child for years to come. Our home is in a family-oriented subdivision that is perfect for bike rides, walks and play dates with neighborhood friends. In our Mid-Michigan town, we are blessed to have a supportive community.
We both come from large, passionate families. The children have a “nana”, “gigi”, “memaw” and “grandma” and all these grandparents love them dearly from near and far. There are a lot of cousins, aunts, and uncles that make the holidays fun, and exciting. On Jamie’s side, there is no shortage of delicious soul food and on Patty’s side, there is plenty of wonderful Mexican dishes.
We have a lot of love to provide a child and are so excited to expand our family through adoption. God has led us down this path after suffering through multiple miscarriages. We take this very seriously and promise to love your sweet baby unconditionally and give them a life of happiness, positivity and wonderful opportunities. We would love to stay in contact with you through letters, photos, and visits! To learn more about us, please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

|More About Our Family|
Patty was raised Catholic, and Jamie discovered his faith in high school as a Baptist. With that diverse background, we both have a strong sense of what God is and how he has blessed us with his work in our lives. As a Christian family, we teach our children to love and respect Jesus through their Christian preschool, catechism after school, attending church and always saying our prayers as a family before bed. Our family would not exist without His many blessings, and we keep that forever in our hearts.
Soroya is our oldest daughter, and she is our rambunctious, curious, intelligent leader. She loves playing drums and piano, dancing to music, snuggling with our cats, and making pancakes. She's also always down for a trip outside to dig up bugs and worms and go fishing. She's definitely the tomboy of our two girls, and we love that about her. She's also sensitive and caring and makes us more and more proud every day.
Isadora (Izzy) is our youngest and yet couldn't be more different from her sister. Our resident "princess," Izzy's favorite activities are ballet, chatting about school, and holding fashion shows in the playroom, especially if she gets her hair braided like Elsa from Frozen. She is also very intelligent, has an ever-growing sense of humor, and her open sense of admiration for her big sister is so very heartwarming.
The best thing about our girls is how much they love each other, and how much they want another sibling to love. We value their differences and always make decisions based on what is best for each of them individually.
